Default Interest in FIGS supercharger kit for 3uz?

I was speaking to Mike from FIGS engineering and he was discussing his interest in producing a supercharger kit for the 3uz platform. The kit would include intake manifold adapter plate, supercharger, fuel system, fittings, MAPECU3 piggy back ecu which will work with the stock ecu to help with fuel and such. He said the base price would be about $6000-$7000 thesis a base kit. There would be a turn kit available for more with plug and play harnesses and other things that would make it a plug and play installation. The results would be about 365-380 HP & 400 TQ these are just base numbers there are variables for every set up. The stock transmission will be able to hold the power.

I want to do the legwork for him because he has taken very good care of me and is always there to answer my questions and help me troubleshoot when needed. If anyone is interested please post below, so he can seeof there is enough interest to make a kit.

Not interested for myself mostly because I am a retired grampa driving style old geezer but this would be a very nice package to have available for these cars. I think they are fast already but adding a super charger would definitely change the SC's game. Perfect sleeper mod.

Exactly there is no other supercharger avaible except this and the fact that this is a new kit with tuning fuel and will be bolt on is extrodinary for that price. Mikes main point is the kit could produce more power but he wants the cars to maintain there reliability and driveability that they rolled off the Lexus assembly line with. I think these cars would be stellar with a supercharger it would really add a kick to an allready fast platform as you said above.

My understanding is that Steve at luxury motorcars in Monrovia, ca. tried and did mod these engines long ago.

you can call him but when I asked him about the availability of any such parts he strongly stated that he was not interested in doing these again.

my understanding is that these engines do not have strong enough rods. Weak link.

I am not looking for a kit i have been speaking to mike at figs about this he has the ability to make anything a buyer could want and he stands by his products, as well as track testing everything he sells, so there is a bunch if research and development behind all the components he sells.

I appreciate the feed back but this kit is allready been track tested and proved by Mike with his 3uz wagon all components will be machined in house as well. Any motor has weak links, this is for streetable applications all the way up to race applications if you want it all depends what you are looking for. Any car you can't just throw boost on a motor and call it a day this is a complete kit that has all the hiccups sorted out all you have to do is install it.

I understand where you are coming from and it might just work.
Not sure if the timing is right but I will say this...SC430s are finally getting low enough in price that younger folks will buy them and they would be interested in high performance.

Most older folks, 50+, not so much, but some still would bite.

Anyway, I wish you luck and hope the timing is right for you!

I would be interested in a supercharger kit but would have the added cost of importing it to the UK.
Currently running at 307 bhp on PPE headers and a custom exhaust. More would be nice just to make the odd ISF sit up and take notice.

Steve was adamant about him not modding the motor. he had tried this many times long ago. He has a beautiful polished intake manifold in his shop waiting area. Said was a bad experience

I cannot speak about him because I do not know anything about his products but I can give you 100% guarantee that this kit will work.

I'm still young, I would be interested. Are those numbers at the crank(bhp) or wheels(whp)? If at the wheels I would be all for it take my 6-7k but if its at the crank....... I'm thinking swapping for a 2jz or even an IS-F engine would be cheaper.

I believe that is at the wheels I have to double check with Mike but I am 90% it's wheel hp&tq also even if the super charger kit does not get produced he would be willing to make intake manifold adapter plate so we 3uz owners could bolt up a supercharger of some kind. This is testing the waters but if your inerested that's good that's 4 people so far from the GS, SC, and LS community that are interested in a supercharger kit.

The same story as Neil. I would be interested in a supercharger kit, but would have the added cost of importing it to Europe.
