Wind deflector yellowing?
Just wondering if there was something I could do to fix the yellowing of the wind deflector in my sc430? I used Windex, alcohol, plastic cleaner, I'm stumped. I suppose I could buy a brand new one but maybe there's something you guys are using that I'm not to clean the poly glass. Even all the used wind deflectors on ebay are yellow. Anyone try tinting theirs? thoughts?

I am trying to picture the “wind deflector” you are referring to. You are not talking about the rear spoiler are you?

Gotcha! I have read somebody had a new plexiglass cut to replace the spoiler. And was able to put in some graphics as well. In short, you should be able to find a place who can do this for you. Or perhaps you can apply tint on it?

I have seen them replaced with ones that are engraved with Lexus logos and lit from below. Pretty cool... but can't find them online. Looks like the picture below only the same size of the original

Cool. Anyone have a source or know where to get the taller wind deflector that was available in Japan for the Soarer?

That's exactly what another member did, it worked out fine.

I did something similar on another car. Cut a piece of thick plexiglas, had the edges flame polished then had a laser engraver cut the name/logo. I provided a digital file of the name/logo. Actually did this several times. One with clear (to be backlit) and another in metal. Provided the metal one with masking tape on it (painted the metal before applying tape). Back filled the name/logo once laser cut. After that high-temp paint dried, peeled the tape. Came out great.
