Gang

Wow, today must be my lucky day ! Within a fraction of a second, I Think I would have been rear ended by a 95 yr old driver.

While heading to StarBucks for a coffee this morning, I was at a stop light and as I pulled up to the red light , I notice a driver pulling up to me in the back .

As the light turned red, I came to a stop and I notice the guy was about to gas and with reflex I inch a few inches forward . This was where I saw the guy suddenly slam on his brakes.

my lucky day ...

Driving "defensively" has saved me from several potential accidents. Being aware of the driver's around you is always a good thing. One of the down sides of darkly tinted windows is not being able to see the driver. Can certainly give you a rush of adrenaline :-)

+1. I was running some errands on Saturday in my Land Cruiser, and I notice this old lady in RX350 trying to cross the street to make left turn, but she was not looking at my direction, so I started to brake a little. I was probably doing 45mph when I started to slow down. Sure enough she pulled into the intersection, and cut across my lane (she is coming from the left of the street). I slammed on the brake, LC is not known for short stopping distance so that was enough some choice words on my part (luckily my kid is not in the car). She finally turned her head after hearing screeching tires. If I did not brake, we both would be in the market for new cars today.

No offense to old people, and certainly there are bad drivers in all ages, but I pay more attention when I see older driver, especially in grocery store parking lot. I have seen enough fender bender by old folks.
