you are absolutely right a 225 fits just fine on a eight inch rim. When you say stretch a tire I think putting a tire on a wheel that's to wide Such as this.
The bead like this isn't properly seated on the wheel.
Oh yes exactly, i guess best way to say it keep close to wheel width lol I should have been more clear.
And yes thats a little too much in the pic there, plus the load on that side wall over a little bump or hole would be easy damage.. you know what i have seen tires come off a stretch like that and are usuallu torn inside or cracked. Scary
