Looking to buy an SC430, please help me with a couple questions.

If tire wear is what people are most concerned about then it speaks volumes about SC's reliability. Tire wear is generally a function of weight and driving style. I haven't noticed a big difference in tire wear between my LS and SC.

Absolutely right on driving style and the big one, weight. Our SC is 4,000 lbs, considered a tank, in today’s standards. With the rigidity needed for the convertible and the hardware for the top, hence the weight.
Driving style and obviously the suspension system is the other major factor. AS the SC age, the suspension system ages as well. I will can do a refresh on my suspension which I will soon, so I do not lose my set of tires prematurely.
I replaced my front struts a year or so ago, cannot tell if it improved the handling.
In my last set of tires, it is the Rear who wear out like crazy. I rotate my tores every 1K miles and I pay attention on wear. So far so good. Then again I do not put a lot of miles on the SC.

I had had tire wear issues on my '02 SC. When I installed Meisterr coilovers the tire wear disappeared overnight. (To be fair, I did also replace many bushings in the front).
Must have been the lack of damping, giving my tires more hell than they would expect. It was bad, I mean after 6-7 months (25K miles or so) I'd be bald and needing another set. After I changed coilovers I had my rears last about a year (35K), and the fronts are still on the car.
