Jumped the gun yesterday, wife and I drove from San Juan Capistrano to brophys in Santa Barbara.

its closed for remodeling until the 20th hopefully.

ate at the beachfront grille next to it. Very good.

320 miles and 6 1/2 hour drive time I am LA'ed out.

turned up the excellent ML stereo to blast the fellow stop and go freeway denizens with talking heads, "stop making sense."

Car was bouncing and the top down at 8pm and the windows up including the quarter windows and the a/c system getting a workout as needed.

91 degrees just south of downtown LA at noon.

a/c and windows up and top down worked very well. Stronger air in the Lexus versus our 07 Solara convertible.

24.3 mpg. Uses lots of gas pedal at times.

weather was great. 75 in Santa Barbara.

the pioneer/beats head REALLY brings out the "good" in the ML stereo system.

.....since I'm in Texas, I probably couldn't make it out for this (lol)...but just a thought,...I see there's a post for a No. Cal ride, so why not meet halfway, N.Cal & S.Cal???.....that could be a really nice meet & greet

From Los Angeles to S.F., via the coastal route, is around 8 hours... meeting half way would be four hours, and I'm not sure where we'd meet...

I'm thinking Sunday, March 26th as the meet-up date, as no one had an objection to that date, but I'm hoping we'll have more people interested!

I checked some older threads, with previous caravans, and it looks pretty cool, all those SC430's, lined up!

So... anyone else interested in joining us for a drive up the coast?
