Question Lease Prices

What are good lease prices for a new SC 430? I have quotes from 3 dealers and it is interesting that each dealer played with a different number to come up with about the same monthly payment of $855 plus or minus a few dollars for 15,000 miles/year on a 48 month lease. One dealer gave a great selling price, another a great money factor, and a third a great residual. Any ideas? Thanks.

BTW I've decided on the silver/ecru. Just love the millenium silver and would prefer saddle interior but saddle is not available with silver on the west coast

Default High

I cant believe how high the dealers are offering you I paid a lot less then that on a 39 month lease with 15k miles and no money down. Maybe its because I leased it in december and they were dying to get year end sales.

Post Lease

Look at several websites such as:

Buy/Lease

Also, get a software pack such as LeaseWizard or Expert Lease Pro.

Look at Fighting Chance

I got mine down to 58K on the actual price. Then comes any cap cost reductions, after that then all the fees etc.

I'm at 686 for 48 months, which included tire warranty coverage.

You'd be surprised at how well you can do once armed with the software and info. Do your due dilagence, get the invoice cost of the car first. Lexus holds back $1200.00 until it sold, so the dealership will get the 1200 once it is off the lot.

Look for a residual of up to 60%, and a money factor of .0027. You can see the change once you get the software, well worth the price! Saved me a ton of money once you have the information.

They will say the car is in high demand now due to weather... Bull.. Lexus dealers are down 43.7% in sales of this model this year as opposed to same time last year.

Keep looking, get your information, run several lease types with the software, and don't sign until you are sure on what you are getting.

Also, look into gap insurance. If it's gets into a wreck and insurance totals the car, you are still responsible for the full amount of the lease regardless what insurance give Lexus or the lease holder. It can be a big amount too!

Try those sites and let us know how you do!

Regards,
Deanski

Thanks for the input. You guys obviously got great deals. I noticed that you're both from NJ and I wonder if a lot of the price difference has to do with different market conditions between east and west coast. Most dealerships here seem to get anywhere from 4 - 8 SC 430's at a time and in the 2 - 3 months that I have been observing the SC 430 seems to be selling very well. The exception is one huge dealership here that keeps about 30 on the lot , but still seems to be selling them at a good rate.

I have gotten quotes from several fleet managers, even one I was referred to by a mutual friend, and they are still over $800 (including sales tax of 8.25%). The salesman/sales manager route I've only tried at 3 dealerships and they start out in the high 800's or low 900's and then go down to mid 800's. They get the price down between $58K - $59K pretty readily and money factors of .0022 - .0024 (with Lexus Financial; lower from other banks), but they are very consistent with residuals in the 49% - 51% range. I prefer to stick with Lexus Financial even if it costs a little more because they have a 15 cents/mile excess mileage charge, no dispositon fee and GAP coverage included.

I have used the on line lease calculator at leaseguide.com and it is very accurate at calculating prices, but I'll try the ones you recommended to see if they have other information this one doesn't. I'll let you know where I end up. I'm definitely buying the car in the next 2 weeks. It's just a matter of getting a fair deal.

Anyone from California have anything to share?

yes, Longo Lexus gave the best purchase price, a reasonable residual, and the highest money factor. If I was paying cash it would have been the best deal, but as a lease it came out the same as everyone else (mid 800's). However, they did indicate there was a little room to move, so maybe I could get another $15 -$20 per month off.

Also, I did try LeaseWizard and Expert Lease Pro as DEANSKI suggested and came out with the same results. Actually, not quite as good. I got 6 quotes for 48 month/15k mile/0 down including sales tax ranging from a low of $862/month to a high of $974/month. Negotiating by myself I have gotten 4 quotes ranging from $851 - $858, all through Lexus Financial. Additionally there were 2 quotes through the dealers with other banks that were a little lower, but there were disposition fees and higher excess mileage charges.

I think the LA/southern california market is just very different from other markets - unless your best friend owns the dealership. I don't know anyone in the car business, so I don't have any particular advantage that anyone else doesn't have. Or it could be that right before summer is not the best time to get a great deal on a convertible. Would love to hear if anyone from the LA area is getting the great lease rates they are getting in CT and NJ.

OK, see if this helps...

I just picked up my new SC 430 on Friday from a southern California dealer (black/saddle)...with gold package. I negotiated the cost down to $57,351, and my lease rate is $865 and change for 36 months/12,000 miles (only license and first month down). That lease price includes California/Los Angeles sales tax. This deal was matched by Longo, Beverly HIlls, and Van Nuys. Lexus Financial currently has the best lease rates (highest residual and LOWEST money factor) Good luck!
