Can I use scissor jack from other car?
I just bought an SC last week. One of the few things that this car do not have is a jack. I wonder if the PO sold it on Ebay Anyway, so I need a jck. I was wondering if anyone have used jack from other car, like Camry? Looking at the picture and under the car, I do not see anything that require a special jack, but I could be wrong here. If I can use one from like Camry, it would be much easier and cheaper to find at local junk yard. I also need to get a spare tire, which I find here that a spare from Camry would work.

I use the jack from the Mazda CX5 all the time to swap winter/summer wheels on the SC annually. I position it in the exact same location as the stock SC scissor jack should be positioned. The CX5 just has easier access to the jack vs the SC. Not sure, if the CX5 jack will mount into the stock scissor jack compartment of the SC though. I'm sure you can track down the part number for the SC jack, and search for it on Ebay for cheap. Call your local Lexus dealer and ask for the scissor jack part number. I'm sure the part is interchangeable across many models.

Thanks @ShawnOk. Good point that other jack may not fit. I am going to pull jack from my Avalon and see if that fits. I have looked on Ebay the other day. About $100 or so for SC jack, which seems expensive for parts that I most likely wont use. The car will be driven short distance locally, and most likely if I get a flat, I will call AAA and have it towed to tire store. It just one of those thing that bugs me knowing that the jack is missing.

Your best bet may be craigslist. I don't know what city you live in, but you can buy a Corolla spare & jack for $80 in Lexington
http://lexington.craigslist.org/pts/5793489297.html
BTW, THE COROLLA SPARE WILL NOT WORK ON THE SC 5X100 VS 5X114 (at least the old corollas were)
If you want to go non Toyota/Lexus, they have a Honda Tire/Jack combination in Louisville for $30

I do not know if the tire will work or not

@DashingDar I was just thinking about this a few days ago as I was changing oil in the SC. I was using 3 tons floor jack to lift the car. This jack for Corolla might be too small - I am sure Corolla curb weight is less than our SC. Maybe it will work because it only need to lift part of the car, but I think for my peace of mind, I will look for a jack from larger car. Thank you again - I am going to watch CL for different jack.

Hockey Pucks
Not much use carrying a jack if you don't have a spare tire as well! I can verify that a Camry spare will work, as I have had one on my SC (to try it out.) I purchased it on eBay but later got a Mazda MX8 spare which is much lighter and fits better in our shared trunks. Any jack that will not damage the jacking point (crunch the lip) will work fine. I just purchased a couple hockey pucks on eBay which I will cut a grove in for the jack lip so I can use my large floor jacks to lift the car. You can buy specially designed rubber pads for your floor jacks but they cost way more than they are worth. Hockey pucks do the exact same job at $3 each

@landflyer thanks for the tip for hockey pucks. I know about the spare, I am keeping an eye out for jack and spare tire as well.

Here they are
Just cut the groves in them last night with a sliding miter. You can do it with almost any saw bu I recommend clamping or making a little jig to keep your hands clear. Cutting small things like this can be very dangerous as they can get hung up and thrown (or a finger pulled in.) I've seen a youtube video where the guy used a hacksaw (which is pretty safe

@landflyer thank you again for the picture. I am following your path here - ordered some hockey pucks last night from eBay. Yep, going to use hacksaw. No way my hands getting close to very sharp instruments that moves rapidly
