If you purchased your SC430 recently, how much did you pay?

2005 Pebble Beach, 68k miles, $15k Black/Red
A very close friend pretty much gave me this pampered, dealer maintained gem. She is meticulous about record keeping and is a perfectionist. She thought of me because I loved that style from the day she bought it. My Forever Car is home. (after I change out the run flats it should ride properly) This beauty get looks, waves, smiles, nods and thumbs ups. I'm delighted.

Thanks tbmorris ~ dealer service records indicate that water pump and timing belt we're done in 2014 at 71k miles. If they hadn't been, I'd have offered $1600 less than what they asked.

Recent SC430 purchase
Friends,
We see a lot of new faces on the SC430 board nowadays.
If you purchased your SC430 in the last year or two, please post:
1. Year & Mileage of your SC430
2. The price you paid
(I would like to get an understanding for what my high-mileage (170K miles) 2002 SC430 may be worth... but I'm sure others are interested too!)
Please share your thoughts.
Thank you!

In May 2018 I purchased a 2005 Lexus SC430 Pebble Beach Edition for $17,600 with 31,000 miles. Really happy with the purchase!

I placed a couple pictures in the welcome forum, but I'll add price info here.
Just picked up a 2002 Egyptian Sand Pearl / Ecru from a consignment lot here in the San Francisco Bay Area. It was a one-owner car with 59K miles. I checked the CarFax and it was regularly serviced at the local Lexus dealer its entire life. They hit several 5,000 mile service marks and did three majors. They also changed out the timing belt, rotors, pads, and tires about 10K miles ago. The car is in near perfect condition - just a couple front rock chips and a side mirror scuff. Otherwise, the paint looks absolutely fantastic with not a single ding. Interior is nearly flawless and clean with just a couple tiny tears on the center console leather which I may be able to glue down with the proper kit. It drives beautifully - I'm pretty much going to always leave it in PWR mode and I've trained myself to turn off VSC every time I start the car (a habit I learned with an old '02 IS300 Sportcross).
Originally, they were asking $18K and it compared way better to anything else that was within a 150 mile radius. But I wanted to get him down to around $16K. When we finally went to look it at, he had just changed the price on the windshield to $16K an hour earlier! So naturally, that was my new starting point. He wouldn't budge anywhere below $15K since he made a good point that the owner wanted to try the new number for at least a week. Not wanting to lose this one, I offered $15,500 and he took it. So, out the door, it was $17K - a number we're really happy with for the pleasure we've already gotten out of it.

Re: the wheels, I'm a big fan of the pie plate look. That's one of the reasons I wanted an earlier year model was because of them. To me, that design fits perfectly with the lines (curves) of the rest of the car. Whenever I would think of the SC430, those wheels would be the first image that would pop into my head.
edit: ah, just realized the wheel question was for the PB above. My wheel thoughts still hold, though.

I've heard on the older run flats the ride is harsh. I don't know how to tell if a tire is a run flat. the pie plates look ok but some of the mag type wheels look better to me. Be careful taking them off i've seen other posters complain of stripping the bolts.

Purchased 2003 SC430
2003 SC430 purchased this week in Atlanta GA from private party off CL
114,000 miles
2 owners , Southern Car, Lexus dealer maintained, Clean Car fax, timing belt done at 85K. Door speakers replaced and the with the Nulaxy FM transmitter cant believe how good the tunes sound streaming from my phone, hands free voice quality on calls is great on both ends. Has been stored inside and well maintained, previous owner had paint ceramic coated looks real nice, worst part of car is drivers seat, Ecru with blond birdseye. I need to clean or replace drivers side AC Servo that is buzzing from time to time...will clean it this weekend and monitor. Was not real excited about black since it gets dirty when you look at it but it looks great cleaned. Few small exterior blemishes but not bad at all , looked at a total of 16 different SC over the last 2 months and exterior is right up there with the best.Put on 4 new Continentals day I bought it...what a huge difference from the worn out Falkens...paid $7,800 for the car , $800 for tires and $600 for GA Sales Tax - all in at $9,200... Glad I was patient and waited for private party sale instead of paying full boat at a dealer.

Congrats and welcome to the club. Black is beauty if you can keep it shiny.
10K for the 70K$ originally, you’ve got yourself a gold nugget.
