Someone asked how the front seats come apart.

 

Do I need to remove the seat to replace the lower cushion only?

 

I would say yes, considering how much more work it'd be to do it inside the car, versus the 4 bolts + a few connectors that hold the seat into the car.

 

Absolutely! , But i'd love to see a video of you doing it your way. I think you should remove the whole seat first before tackling the disassembling parts of the seat. Best of luck.

The carpet cushion shield on the base of our driver’s seat has a small patch on the corner where you get in that’s worn bear, so we decided to replace with new ones.

Our SC has ecru interior but we are slowly changing what we can to black.

When trying to find black replacements on eBay, even with “best offer” they ended up costing almost as much as brand new ones from MEGAZIP.com, even with the shipping and custom fees, so we decided to get brand new ones and turned down the counteroffer from the seller on eBay.

Has anyone replaced those front seat carpet shields shown circled in yellow in pic?

If so, did you have to remove the seats to do so?
