Congrats on the new purchase!

This is obviously not stock, but something the previous owner did. It definitely looks like a stereo audio connector -- maybe it was used for an aftermarket stereo, but they may have restored the car to the stock setup before selling.

Did you plug it in to an audio source that was playing during your testing?

You will have to open up the console [ very easy to do ] Find out if that cable hooks up to a module or interface . Did you look into the middle console glove box as well as small storage door on back of center arm rest. I would try and contact former owner and see what he tells you

Most aux music input modules run music through the CD input. Select CD and or tape and see if you can get music to play when connected to your phone.

And keep an eye out for CD1 If you have that, you definitely have another input source.

Default iSimple

Looks like an iSimple brand connection. Just connect to your phone, play music, set radio to 87.9..

I have a AUX speaker input installed in my ML stereo. It is under AUX on the Selector.

That's where I play my Iphone.

Most recently I installed a Bluetooh adapter and now I am wireless. All using the AUX input.

The isimple has another setting 88.3MHz, I looked it up in the manual, here is the link and I sure hope it works for you. Good Luck!
