Default Awesome Tires for SC430

Hi Everyone,

After much research and seeking out other members opinions, I replaced my Sumi Hi Performance Summer tires with Conti Purecontact All Season Grand Touring Tires. These tires provided me with an immediate benefit of a much smoother, quieter ride. The take the bumps and irregularities in our New England roads and make them disappear before they reach the drivers seat. Very stable on the highway at triple digits.

I highly recommend these tires for the Grand Touring usage the Lexus SC430 was designed and built for. You will not be sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a great summer!!!!

Tom

You pay for what you get. Here in Texas we don't really experience true winter weather, so I really don't have any personal data on winter tires but I do prefer any Michelin high performance tires and any Continental high performance all season tires. My wife's Prius came with Yokos and after 35k miles I replaced them with Continental eco plus all season and even she could tell some differences.

I have about 14K miles on my Purecontact and I agree. If you want an all season tire, these are great.

Default awesome tires

I got conti extreme contact DWS 06. They are super cheap on tirerack.com right now, and have a $70 rebate (I paid I think 160 a tire for stock sized rims, and got 70$ after that). And they ride great, work great in the rain, and ride smooth.

Interesting -- apparently the Conti Extreme Contact DWS is being discontinued in favor of the "06" model. The primary difference is that 06 is an inch and a half narrower.

I don't know enough about tires to know the real life implications of that, other than less rubber meeting the road, obviously.
