Since my wife drives our SC more frequently, she figured out a quick fix and she just inserts and leaves the coffee sleeves (Starbucks) in the cup holder for some height extensions, works for her!!/QUOTE] The coffee cup sleeve really works great. Thank you for the idea, or to your wife. |
Cup Holders
New owner of a 2002 SC430, black, 74K. Love the car so far and can't wait for nice weather to keep the top down. Will check Dollar Tree for the cups referenced here. Love the site.

I solved the problem by not allowing eating and drinking in my 07 SC430.

I Agree !!!! But unfortunately, my lovely wife used the damn thing yesterday . . . no spills, but now it won't retract . . . stops just short of going all the way down as though there is something blocking the last quarter inch of travel. Seen lots of posts about the thing not opening, but can't find anything about not closing.
Help. If I can get it closed, it's STAYING closed. over the years, they collect a little dirt, dust, a spill etc. you can remove the cup holder portion and soak it in warm dish soap water for an hour. |
