Problem with tyre pressure warning system
Hi again,
I had a flat tyre problem recently (see post about 'fusing valves caps' earlier). This resulted in the 'low pressure' warning going off - beeping at me every 5 minutes.
I was unable to take the car into a dealer and had to resort to sending the offending wheel in by courier to be re-valved.
When the wheel came came back I fitted it and, surprise surprise, the low pressure warning is still beeping at me every 5 minutes.
The system clearly can't 'see' that the tyre with its new valve is now at the correct pressure. Once the warning starts going... it keeps going!
Does anyone know if re-setting the pressure warning system is a job I can do myself, or do I have to get the car all the way into a dealer just for that (which would be a big pain!)?
Thanks for any advice.
Martin
(P.S. beginning to wish I'd waited six months instead of getting a Japanese import so I could beat everyone to it! At least these things would be under warranty....)

Thanks Rod,
I had a feeling that would be the case. I just hoped to avoid it as it takes a whole day to get my car to the nearest service dealer and back again!
Not many things you can do yourself on these fancy cars, eh?
