I took my wallet plastic case cut it in half placed the piece of plastic that had the chip in it and then wrapped the ribbon cable around it and put it in the immobilizer box . Then ran the black antenna wire up and around the ignition switch and fished it around it with the dash trim ring off . The chip works fine from the wallet key and this way you don't have to leave a valet key in that box which could lead to a theft of your car If someone knew it was there. The wallet key has to be cut in half so it will fit into the immobilizer box

As MrBlister suggested I pulled of the trim piece and found the black antennae wire wrapped around the ignition column. I rewrapped it in the opposite direction and for today (at least) I haven't had any problems. Car has started with every attempt. Fingers crossed! Thanks for all the advice everyone!

Yup, still no problems! Starts every time now! Easiest fix... local shop wanted to charge $75 diagnostic fee for something that simple. Unbelievable.

Wouldn't have been able to even know where to start this simple fix without help from this forum and experts like you. While money hungry shops would have charged to even take a look. Thanks again, everyone!
