Default Better Tires

Picked up my new SC430 last week, and had the same rough ride and balance problems that my pervious two SC430 had. Learned to live with it in the past, but decided to pressure the dealer this time. Just picked the car up today, and it is perfect. You wouldn't know they were run flats. He exchanged the Dunlops for Goodyears. You cannot believe the difference !!!!!!

Goodyear run-flats? Can you give a more complete description? How is the noise level?

Default Bridgestone Potenza's

Picked my red/saddle SC 25 Jan and it was equipped w/Bridgestone Potenza's. I can't compare to Dunlop's but these are quiet. I do feel small bumps but it isn't annoying. However RR tracks are really rough.

Way back in the day the first 430 that was displayed in Canada at the Auto Show in Toronto had Goodyear RF's and since then I have looked at every SC I see parked at dealers and on the road to what tires they are running. 95% are running the stock Bridgestone's and the others are using custom rims with other tires. Pilots and things of that nature...
I too would like some info on these other options...There must be some better options out there

Default Response to Drop-Top430

Check my comments in "Suspension and Handling" thread..

My Service Manager says he can/will make me a special 'deal' on the spare tire trunk assembly if I decide to change to conventionals....If I do go that route, I've heard nothing but great things about the Michelin Pilot SP...

I'd also like to get more input from my fellow "Lexors"....Although, I realize that this is a pretty subjective subject....ie.."a better ride" is the eyes of the beholder.

I notice in tirerack.com reviews of Goodyear F1 runflats there are a lot of complaints about noise. That would rule them out for me. Comments on Michelins seem to be the most favorable of all the available choices.

Way back when I got my set of MP Sports, i did a ton of research. They came out the best and using them proved correct.
