Default Preventing side nicks eg doors, etc

Anyone with any suggestions about preventing side nicks from doors. Like everyone else I will always try and park in the only space in a lot "a mile away" so no one is around me, but in those instances where you have to park with someone nearby, is there something you can safely apply, etc to prevent the car door next to you from damaging your doors. I once saw someone take a rubber strip and place it on their car horizontally on one side. I don't know how they did it.

Also, anything for the rear bumper.

Default Check out StonGuard's web site

You'll see a side bumper that attaches magnetically. On a clean car, where you slide it around it should be great.
I use an older system

Default Preventing nicks

Do you know StonGuard's internet address? Also does the magnetic protector potentially scratch the car if it is moved?

Thanks

I once worked near a guy who had an M3 that he prized (it takes all kinds). He had an inflatable cushion that extended out about 3 inches and went all the way around. He said it went on quickly bu I never saw him do it. Anybody know about this device?

Maybe this thread should to into another section?

Default Nicks, etc

Thanks for the Stoneguard rec. It seems as if they just make a film product like xpel. I am looking for something for the sides, etc

Thanks

Default Oops

Sorry. Thought StonGard sold the magnetic strips too. Let me find who does and I'll post or PM you.

Default fetalsono...

As far as we know, Stonegard (sp) and Expel are the same product - one licensed from the other. Find their sites with google and they'll tell you the nearest dealer for you. There are many ClubLexus sc430 owners who have done this process and reported their results - do a search.

As far as side protection, look at the thread posted two days ago here called "Larry's Car." He did a super classy side-molding install and took pictures.
