Steering Wheel Divot

Steering Wheel Divot
So I just thought about a mistake I made when I first bought my SC and got to thinking maybe someone else has had a similar stupid moment. I drove my friends car today and she seems to have done the same thing to her Avalon. In my younger days, I used to wear a ring on my left hand and in one particular instance I guess it hit the wood grain of the steering wheel and make a small indentation. It's not a huge deal, but just got to thinking and wondering if anyone has also done this, and if anyone can think of a trick to repair this little "divot," that hopefully isn't too invasive.

My 2008 came with a small blemish on the wood that sounds similar. My "repair" was to use Old English Scratch Cover for dark woods. What it does is color the exposed wood fibers with a dark oil so that the blemish is not noticed (even though it is still there).
