Having an antenna that sticks out like that is a convertible thing. If you look at other convertibles, some of theirs doesn't even retract down and just sticks out.

At least on the SC, ours will move to get the best reception.

 

If you mean up and down then, yes, I guess they move for "best reception"

 

Yes, that's what I meant. I usually just listen to my ipod or pandora by hooking my iphone. I hate how the antenna sticks out with the FM radio.

Just got a Celica antenna assembly and plan on swapping it on my SC430 and adding a shot nub (s2000)

Good luck to you, a bunch of us have been scratching our heads on how to dump the telescope. I have a set myself with the S2000 antenna I used on my Camry before. Go for it and post a lot of pics please. We will owe you one!

 

I am glad it has the cassette player. Serves as a easy way to play music from an iPhone. A couple of my other vehicles have CD player only and I really miss it.

I also have a Sirius radio that plays on one of the FM stations. The antennae goes up part way when it's in use, but I don't find that offensive.

 

Isn't it nice that all we have to complain about with this car is the cassette player and a telescoping antenna
