Just a quick post t o say how easy it was to repair both 6x9 door speakers
Spent about 4 hours in total using repair kit from simply. Speakers
It's amazing how bad the old foam was and how much difference the new ones make to the sound
So don't be afraid to tackle this it is really easy

 

Not trying to hijack your thread but what options are there to upgrade the speakers so that you get better sound?

I have an LS w/Levinson and it sounds 10 times better than any SC I've sat in.
