No, there was no option for mandrel bends as it is custom made with formers to whatever radius is required.
Pre-made exhausts are bent using mandrels, but I don't see how they can be used for custom jobs.

In our neck of the woods, you can find some custom exhaust shops which can fabricate with mandrel bend. They usually have different size mandrel bends and cut them to the appropriate shape. Cost is about 20-30% more then press bend tubes.
I use to have a Mazda FD3S RX7 twin turbo and the mandrel bend system was much more free flowing than the restrictive stock system. Use to also blew 2 foot of flames on overruns!!
