hi all - I tried upgrading to cross-drilled rotors and ceramics on my SC430. Notable increase in braking performance but also a notable increase in noise and a loss of a range of pedal response (basically brakes got really tacky but really touchy as well, not much range to the pedal throw). Eventually, the squeeling from those suckers got to be too much and I went back to a stock setup.
Beware cheap brake rotors online also...have had bad experiences with those. Spend the money on reputable parts and you'll save yourself a big headache down the line.

I stayed with stock calipers and added slotted EBC rotors and EBC Red pads. I'm not a tracker or canyon-carver, but I'm really pleased with the performance of this setup, and the cost wasn't bad. I used only EBC pads on my motorcycle and never was disappointed.
