Considering buying 2002 Lexus SC430
Hey guys I have been looking at cars all over the spectrum, but I think I found one I really like. Its an 02 with 116k miles. Seems like timing belt has been done. Anything else I should look for? Car has been very well maintained and 2 owners. Price is 16k, but car looks like its brand new! Also the back rear seats I have heard are useless, but can one teen fit back there? I am 6 foot 1 and I should be able to drive comfortably ?

As far as the room in the back seat. My 11 year old daughter sits i back of me, I'm 6'2" and it work okay, but wouldn't want to take a long trip like that.

Regarding the rear seat passenger, it can work, but only if your have a shoe horn big enough to get their butt into the seat.
If you are really considering an SC 430 you should read through the "sticky" thread which covers buying our pre-owned cars. There are a few due diligence items to know about and thoroughly check out before negotiating. Here a link to that thread: Buyer's Guide for the SC 430 - Everything you need to know before making an offer.

When you test the teen in backseat sizing, make sure the top is up. Not much headroom. Good info in the sticky, but I can't emphasize enough to have it inspected. I had 2 SC430s inspected before finding a third I which was acceptable. Saved thousands...

Did you ever buy that 02 sc430? There are a lot of nice ones on the market but not many under 20k. I'd look for one with less miles than the 116k you looked at but that's me and it's your wallet!!
