Exclamation How Much Did Your SC430 Cost You?

Out of curiosity, I would like to do a very unscientific, "gut-feel" survey of how much everyone paid for their SC430s. I figure there's no better crowd than this to throw the question out there...

1. In what year did you buy your SC430?

2. What year is your SC430?

3. Roughly how many miles did the SC430 have when you bought it?

4. Do you feel you got a good deal (did the car break down after purchase, incur high repair costs, etc)?

5. Roughly how much did you pay for your SC430?

2. What year is your SC430 2007

3. Roughly how many miles did the SC430 have when you bought it? 17,300

4. Do you feel you got a good deal (did the car break down after purchase, incur high repair costs, etc)? I'm happy with the deal. Fair value for a great car. Bought it CPO w/3 additional years extended warranty

Hi jasone,

1. 2009
2. 2002
3. 24,000
4. A 'fair' deal; it did not breakdown & did not incur any high repair costs. It did need tires & I opted for Non-RFT's.

Sept 2009 -
bought a 2002 -
49K miles
$17,3k
I was very please with the price I paid on a private party sale, even with the cost of the after market warranty through a lexus dealer. I'm well ahead on the cost of the warranty versus necessary repairs over the last two years.

Bought in 2010
MY 2004
8k Miles
around 30k including a 4 year warranty, I have paid anything in repairs the warranty covered the trunk struts and the GPS going out.
I have however spent money on upgrades/mods! The car is brand new, smells new, no creases in the leather no stains on the carpets, paint is flawless...im happy I paid a premium for the color/miles but im okay with that.

Curious in that I have the same year and miles as yours. What was the condition of the timing belt? Since the car is ten years old, I am thinking about changing the timing belt and spark plugs but my mechanic is insisting that I can wait until 90,000 miles. People are amazed when I tell them it is a 2002 and over ten years old. It looks brand new.

Thanks

1. 2008
2. 2004
3. 38,000
4. One of the best "used" cars ever purchased. Only minor things and all fixed by the dealership.
5. A very nice, fast and fun to drive 06 GTI Volkswagen. Plus some cash. It's said, because
that was "my" car and the SC turned into "her" car. lol

2010

2003

148k

paid 18k

Since i bought it ive done a few oil changes, coolant flush, power steering flush, new back rotors and brakes, new tires and wheels. I feel i got something great at a 'good price'...which ive always preferred over something good at a great price.

btw i flipped questions 4 and 5.

1. In what year did you buy your SC430? 10/2010
2. What year is your SC430? 2002

3. Roughly how many miles did the SC430 have when you bought it? 36,000 miles
4. Do you feel you got a good deal (did the car break down after purchase, incur high repair costs, etc)? YES!!!!!!! No problems, she is running like a champ. Since she is 9 years old I did go ahead and have the timing & serpentine belts, hoses, water pump and seals serviced this summer and I went with my non-dealer mechanic which was about $1300, Toyota was about $1500 (about $600 for just the belt) and Lexus was $1600ish.
5. Roughly how much did you pay for your SC430? $19,000 from a private seller with a transferrable warranty. I had been looking for about 6 months before I found mine, and there are quite a few SCs in the DC area but that also means that there are a lot more abused ones to pick through
