Work Schwert sc2, step rim or full reverse?
Does anyone have any suggestions for the schwert sc2 wheel step rim or standard(full reverse) with tire size? Is the chart posted by rominl only for non lowered sc430? I'm also saving for new rotors and calipers. Is the big caliper type(choice) wheel generally for 6 piston calipers or can I go with a standard wheel with 4 piston calipers? Are any of the big brake kits known for slimmer calipers. I really like the looks of a deeper spoke to wheel face than flush spoke.
Any suggestions before I drop $4000 on a set of wheels.
245/35 means the width is 245mm and the sidewall height is 245mm times 0.35 = 85.75mm
275/30 means the width is 275mm and the sidewall height is 275mm times 0.30 = 82.50mm
285/30 means the width is 285mm and the sidewall height is 285mm times 0.30 = 85.50mm
275/35 means the width is 275mm and the sidewall height is 275mm times 0.35 = 96.25mm <--- see the problem here?
245/40 is a better match for 275/35. 245mm times 0.4 = 98mm
Most members here have 245/35/20 over spec tires on 20x8.5"
My guess is you are running 245/30/20 which is within oem specs, that is, the overall diameter is the same as that of the stock 245/40/18.
However, that is more like a rubber bend tire setup that gives you a bad ride quality since the sidewall height is only 73.5mm.
You can ask Peter_Klim to post up his setup, I think he has the exactly same wheels?
