I also just got an SC430, mine is a white 2002 with 62,000 Mi. Runs perfect, has a few things to work out though.
My CD changer says it's full but will not eject or play CD's. Anyone have thoughts on this? Thanks. Ben

Welcome to the forum.
Yes, having CDs stuck in the changer is common. Apparently the changer doesn't handle the thicker CDRs or CDs with labels on them well. Usually you can just bop the side of the console (or top for some folks) while it is attempting to eject and that will help it eject the CD. There are a couple of threads on that in this forum.

Has anyone else had early (rear) axle bearing failure? No evidence or record of any accidents, flooding, fire, etc. My car has 63,000 miles and both bearings seem noisy. The car did spend many of it's years in Texas. Maybe heat and or dust?
Also, the roof on my car wants to tear at the roof seal on the A pillar when closing. Advice about roof adjustments?

I just bought a 2006 sc430 and can't stop driving it. I love this car! It only has 28,000 miles and is in perfect condition. I even love washing it. Does this feeling ever go away? I'm hoping not. I just became a member of Club Lexus and have enjoyed reading the threads, very informative.

Has anyone had this done? I got a quote from the lexus dealer in town, but it seems extremely high.

Bearing/ axle seal failure
I did the job myself with a mechanic friends assist. Changing bearings & seals is about a 2 to 3 hr. job & requires A hydraulic press to press bearings back on.
If you are not stuck on Lexus doing the job, Just contact a decent mechanic (most shops have a 15 ton press which is plenty to press on.
New bearings with integral seals were about $110. each at NAPA (with a good discount). The labor should be under $300 at an independant mechanic. Normally only one bearing will be bad, the noise carries from side to side. NOTE; the bearings are rare, mine took 2 weeks for NAPA to get, so buy well before the job. Good luck, Ben

Congrats on a sweet ride.. Detailing will be your newly found obsession for years to come and getting out of it is going to be difficult.. I have developed a new habit of sitting in the car with the engine off listening to music/cleaning the interior, checking it out for a good 5-10 mins every time i reach home before getting out of it 
06 is certainly the best MY for buck.. Get the benefits of a facelift for a good price.. I was looking for an 06 but couldn't find anything i liked so i jumped on my 2010
