BTW Lexus makes a direct “twisted star” replacement for the original pie plates that came on your car. This example is aftermarket (missing center cap “L” logo) one and chromed too.

New SC Owner in Southern California
New SC 430 owner here.
I fell in love with these cars in 2003 and finally decided to buy one before I got too old!
I bought it in a private sale, one owner, 2005 SC430 with 52,900 miles. Excellent maintenance record. Mint condition inside and outside.
1. Exterior color - Indigo ink pearl
2. Interior color - saddle
3. Audio options (Mark Levinson)
4. Other major options or packages - all stock
This is my fourth convertible that I have owned Over the years (2001 Mustang, 2007 BMW Z4, 2016 Mazda Miata). I think this will be my last one as my wife actually likes this one!

Finally found my SC 430
I was glad to finally find a nice clean carfax, no accident car, with reasonable mileage (87,804) near me. With so few of these in the states it's pretty great to find a nice one (although a lot of people seem to take pretty good care of them). I wanted a 2006 or later so I was stoked to find this one given only 69,661 were sold in the US. Even more amazing from 2006 on there were only 12,500 sold in the US. and mine is one of the 1,986 sold in 2008. Nice!
1. Exterior color - Tigereye Mica
2. Interior color - Camel
3. Audio options - Mark Levinson (not impressed - of course I'm sure there are age issues - will be making major upgrades to feed my stereo addiction)
4. Other major options or packages - None (It's sad these cars are so devoid of equipment - haha)
A couple of quick questions.
I only have one key. What's my best option for getting more keys? I probably want 2 more.
Does anyone know maximum speaker depths for all of the drivers? Looks like front 6x9's are around 3" max?
I'll probably add all aftermarket speakers and amps with lots of processing. Would love to do a 10-12" sub by opening up the factory location but not sure how deep I can go.
Thanks for any help here. Glad to be a member of the club.

Welcome...lots of info on this site covering the topics you mentioned. You will definitely want to buy and program another key. The car came with four originally: 2 masters, one valet and one wallet. If you lose the one master you have you’ll have to replace the theft deterrent ECU and rekey the car.....which is very expensive. A new master key will run about $150. With programming more but you can DIY the programming if you’re handy and patient. Otherwise Lexus dealers charge a premium.
Regarding the other topics - stereo, speakers and sub .... using the search function you’ll find many threads covering them. There is also a sticky thread above that covers how to use the search tool.
I replaced the car’s stereo head unit in 2012 and it may be time to do it again as technology has advanced since then. Even so, I kept the OEM amp and speakers because it’s a convertible not a concert hall. Lots of threads on the pros and cons of speaker replacement.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum. I love the Tigereye color.
You can use the Techstream to program a lot of items, including dealing with new keys, IIRC. There are a couple of really good threads on the Techstream that you should read.

Funny you should mention this as my local Lexus dealer wants $375 for a key ($250 + 125 to program). Hell my BMW key was only $125!! WTF?

There are a couple of threads on key purchasing and programming. Be sure to check them out. You can buy a Techstream and a key combined for $50 to $100. $375 is outrageously overpriced.
