That's a pretty normal quote and I doubt will include all of the above.

However the parts and prices I have listed above are for the maintenance I will peform myself on my SC430 this spring.

The Toyota Type IV ATF is like $120 for a full flush and refill, isn't it? I have the invoice somewhere...it takes a lot of fluid.

Also I would go ahead and look at brake pads, turning rotors and bleeding the brakes, draining and filling the p/s fluid too while you are at it.

What about fuel filter? Plugs? Clean intake..remove carbon build up and install injen?

Just some other ideas.

The quote for $1850 include timming belt, water pump, & the rest 90K maintenance......Bay Ridge Lexus won;t just do the timming belt alone & states it must be done as a whole package inorder for them to guarantee their service/job.

I got a quote for $170.00 for an ATF flush, filter, and fill. Well worth it!

Plan on looking at the pads and rotors and may swap-out for drilled and slotted/w ceramic pads. Don't think I'll do much with the p/s fluid or p/b fluid as flushing all that out can cause more issues with busting lines and simply not needed with the mileage it has. The car has been in a garage in Florida it's whole life.

Fuel filter makes perfect sense though...need to add that to my list!

Thanks for your input!

I love them...I had dunlop direzzos on my first SC with the 20" staggered setup and they cupped prematurely (with alignment/rotate/balance in spec) as well as had dry rot. I believe they were sitting in a warehouse far too long before they were shipped. Always buy FRESH tires!! The Yokos beat the hell out of those flinstone rock tires called RFT's they give us though!

I can't wait till this spring! I have so much going on with my 9 year old! She's getting all her scheduled maintenance performed by me, which should bring her up to date for the next six years. She's getting new Tourmalines and S Drive tires. She's also getting LuxLink to top it off. She's got 56,000 miles on her now and hope to keep her for the next four years, which should put her at about 100,000 or less for mileage. At that point I will sell her, and hopefully buy a 2010 with low miles and keep that one forever!

I got an estimate from my independent shop for $1,150 (with ATF flush) over here in LA. Is the Lexus dealer that much more dependable than going to an independent shop? Since I'm a fairly new SC430 owner who hasn't done the major maintenance yet, so would love to get input on that.
