It's a little more prep work to remove them first, then paint them and put them back on. But I'd probably do that rather than spray that stuff on the paint and then have to remove the excess as best you can. It looks like you weren't able to get inside some of the letters. But overall, it looks pretty good.

here are the steps I took below..

Once it completely dries then take off the newspaper, trashbags, and tape that you used.. then slowly peel around the emblems. It comes right off..

Here is the original thread below and also you will find a video of me peeling it off that I did for a friend..

Looks good, especially on Black...got a close-up of the sc 430 side?(Doesn't look like all the stuff came off but could just be reflection) Be interesting to see how it holds up over time.

Gee Kaisersea1 where you and lucky been, haven't heard from you in a while. Probably putting the Caddy through it's pace, terrorizing the Florida roads. Right, please don't say workin'.

That is really a much cleaner look! Works best with dark color SC's.

Wonder what it will look like on WHITE?

    Maybe some photshopping will help....

I have used dental floss to remove the emblems and yes googone.

Having some problems I may have gone too thick on the paint. Some of the rubber is not an easy pull from the inside of letters or the emblem. I am afraid to scratch the paint with a metal tool, and can't decide if I like the rubberized look on the whole emblem. My son wants to leave it as is, tough call. It looks pretty close to debadged in person, the letters are much more visible in photos.

did you wipe the emblems and surrounding areas with alcohol first? for the inside where there is still rubber.. all you need to do is use a plastic tool and scrape enough to get your finger tips on it.

or use a toothpick. It's not gonna scratch if you don't go crazy.
