Considering the SC430
I know the SC430 is not a real 2+2, but can you have a 12 years old for about 30 minutes trip in the back seat?
Another question has to do with the trunk. Is there enough room for a golf back when the top is down?
Thank you!

The CLK definitely has more space in the rear than the SC.
I've had 1 adult behind the passenger seat twice, and didn't hear TOO many complaints, but I know it's not comfortable. The main comment was "it's not bad for what it is". Additionally, it puts the front passenger's head awfully close to the visor, which isn't very nice.
As for the trunk, you can fit a golf bag, but that's it.
Personally, if I played golf, I'd use the rear seats to hold it, especially if its a larger bag. The only issue here is that if the front seats are reclined at all, it's hard to get to.
As I understand it, Mercedes will be releasing a new CLK soon. It has the nice lines that the new C class has. If you're looking into one, consider getting on the list for one of them.
