Default Changed Tires Today :))

Hi guys, I took ownership of my 05 last week, and it had the original runflats on it, with 15K on the rubber.
Absolutely horrible on our roads up here with the snow and ice etc, so I needed them to be changed out asap before I wrapped this car around a pole just getting it home.
Checked out all of them, didn't really want a full blown winter tire, and the best bet for a all season that has decent specs for winter conditions was the Dunlop Sport Signature TL's.
About the same price as the Eagle GT's,had them dropped on, and have to say
I'm no longer white knuckling it on down the road. The drive is considerably better as well, those runflats felt like they were square!
Just thought I'd share that with fello drivers who don't put it away for the winter months.
Now I just just need to figure out a solution for the spare situation.

Very nice! Another success story on regular tires vs RFT's. I don't know what the % is (maybe AzKaty will start a poll!!!) but it's got to be in the 90 percentile of owners who do NOT have original run flats on their car (either via regular tires or new rims/tires).

Installed, balancing, new valve stems,Nitrogen ,your looking at about 260.00 per tire.
Several places were considerably higher, but here in Canada I went with Fountain Tire.

Re: Another Poll

1. Run flats or standard tires

2. OEM wheels or aftermarket

3. Wheel size: 18" or 19" or 20" (I don't think there are any 21" wheels out there, right?)

Hi Harold,

1. Standard Tires

2. OEM; '06 wheels, I got rid of the pie plates

3. Obviously, 18"
