Default Rock chips, what is your method of attack?

So I have a few chips on the front of my indigo blue sc, what would be a good method to fill them and or help prevent them?

Used Dr. Colorchip about 3 weeks ago. Good results. Easy to use. Buy the small bottle unless you have a huge (40-50) # of chips to repair.

I went to a local shop in CA (Autozone, Pep Boys, Kragens) and they didn't carry this. Anyone know where to get a hold of them locally? or is shopping for it online my best bet?

As far as preventing stone chips, there are a couple (or more) protective films that you can install (or have installed) on the car. Stongard and XPE are the two that immediately come to mind. 3M probably has one also. I haven't looked in a while so there are probably several others on the market now.

My local Lexus dealer had the film installed on a couple of showroom cars. Totally invisible except for a tiny ridge across the hood. About $400

I'm pretty handy but it's a job that I wouldn't attempt on my own. I would end up trapping dirt and hair. The edges would have fingerprints and wrinkles.

From the FAQ sticky: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...-coatings.html
