Hi out there in SC-Land,

About two months ago I was out driving in my '02 and noticed something in the corner of my eye. The airbag warning label on the passenger sun visor had fallen down. It was one of those 'What the heck' moments.

When I got home I found that about 75% of the label was hanging down and would not go back on. I removed the portion hanging down & tried to remove the rest of the label; no such luck. I even took it to the bodyshop that I use & they could not get the remaining portion off.

I heard about www.xvipers.com on this site & contacted them. They replied that they had a visor in mint condition for $49 ( new is ~$140 ) so I rolled the dice & bought it. It came in today, and except for needing some general cleaning, it was as indicated. A little cleaner & some Armstrong Method elbow-grease & she looks good as new.

I would deal with them again in a heartbeat; in fact, I am contacting them soon for some more parts.

Just my thoughts . . .

Jerry Baumchen

PS) Xvipers did say that they prefer to deal in larger $$$ items as this was a nothing-sale ( at the $49 price ) for them.

I was searching on Ebay and came across them and tried their 1-866 # but couldn't get through so I figured I wouldn't chance it. Since you've had a great experience with them I think I'll give them a shot. How did you purchase from them, through their phone # or Ebay?

Hi Tapdout,

I did it throught their 'Contact Us' from their website.

I also could not get much traction with their 800 number.

But they did respond via the website.

thanx Jerry & Ice, I've never used Ebay before and would rather do it over the phone. I'll try them again tomorrow.

$49 is a good deal, but I would rather go to my local Lexus dealer to buy a new airbag sticker for under $2.

Hi talwang,

Thanks for the link; I actually took the car to both my detailer & my bodyshop & neither could get the @%$# off.

Info is always good to have.

For anyone wanting to contact XVIPERS try this:

sales@xvipers.com

I know that will work as I just got an email from him today,

Jerry Baumchen

PS) I think I'll give that removal procedure a try on my old visor.
