Hey all,

It was my b-day last week and my brother bought me an xm satellite radio system. I went to install it today but did not have it done because of the size of the terk antenna. The installer said the only real place to put it was on my dash and it wouuld look terrible. Has anyone here had this installed and would you know of any other manufacturers that make a smaller antenna?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

2002 sc430 blk/blk

I put xm radio in my SC430 and my wifes GS430 and it is great. Put the tuner in the ash tray in both, on the SC,you have to take off the band around the tuner and then it fits almost perfectly. Put the receiver in the trunk and the terk antenna behind the back seat in front of the rear window,allow enough slack because the panel moves when you put top down. I get perfect reception even though some installers told me I would not thru the rear window.Circuit City installed.

I have Xm, and have put many in. If you get the roof mount antena, you can actually take the sticky tape off the bottom of the plastic strip that is attached to the egg like antena piece. Then you can cut off all of the plastic weather stripping part and then mount it wherever you want. It does work just about anywhere. If you have quistions let me know.

I have XM. I put the controls in the ash tray, the tuner behing the dash, and the Terk glass mount on the windshield. The antenna is a bit big but it works great.

I'd love to see some photos of these installs please!!! how about it folks?

yeah... the only draw back to the XM is the antenna in my opinion
i think its so big...
might as well but a shark fin on it
or one of those old boomarang antennas from old limos
