Does anyone know if we can use the trunk hood support in place of the front hood supports? Mine died yesterday for some apparent reason (I blame opening my hood in 4000 ft altitude). Anyways, ebay only sells the trunk supports and I can't seem to find any hood ones for the SC430. Would any hood support do for our cars (like from a GS430)?

I would suggest that you try a local NAPA auto parts store. I do not know if they will carry one/two for the Lexus but it is worth a try.

I found theirs much cheaper than dealer for a Toyota.
