Default Question Re O2 sensor location!

Hello,

I have a 02 SC430 and got the code P0155 O2, looked it up and its for the Bank 2 Sensor 1 o2 sensor!

just wondering which one is this? I guess its the one upstream from the cat?! but which side? also the "vsc" and "vsc off" light have come on with the check engine light? will they go off on their own when I change the sensor and erase the code? is it safe driving it like this for 10-20 miles or so?

thanks in advance,

Here is the "hint" from my service manual:
* Bank 1 refers to bank that includes cylinder No.1.
* Bank 2 refers to bank that does not include cylinder No.1.
* Sensor 1 refers to the sensor closer to the engine body.
* Sensor 2 refers to the sensor farther away from the engine body.

Good luck.

Bank 2 would be passenger side: just had my changed. Stock are Denso's. Bosche sensors are also very good.

When one o2 sensor is bad, others may fail soon. Why not change them all? If your car has 90k or so it is time. Mine needs this also, and the two rear sensors have wires that go up into the floor under the carpet. The front ones look hard to change as well as wires go to places unseen. My local toyota dealer agreed to change all 4 for $180 if I supply the parts. Good luck.
