Default HeadLights up/down motion???? not flickering ,,,,HELP

Hello,
I just notice tonight that my Low Beam Headlights (both of them at the same time) are going jumping up and down in a very slight (very small) motion. the HeadLights are moving "jumping" up and down every 5 to 8 seconds. They are not flickering which are caused by a bad bulb..... it may seem to be the motorized mechanism??????? anyone have this happen.......

my HeadLight Leveling Light is ok, its not lighted up on my dash-odometer.

p.s. the way I notice is that I turned my Low Beam HeadLights on in front of my garage at night, and I can see the Light beam moving jumping up and down just very slightly"small" every 5 seconds or so.......

do I have a bad motorized headlight mechanism??????

Sound like a problem in the Headlamp Leveling ECU since both are doing it. It would be unusual for both motors go out at the same time. What year is your SC?

The headlight beam level control ECU inputs the vehicle speed signal output from the skid control ECU
and the posture change signal of the vehicle output from the height control sensor.
Based on these signals, the headlight beam level control ECU calculates the vehicle’s pitch angle change
from the discrepancy of the front and rear vehicle height motion and controls the actuator in accordance
with that change amount, and then operates the reflector of the headlight.

When the ignition switch is turned ON, and engine start this function executes the initial set of the headlight
beam level control ECU. Then, after sampling the wheel speeds, and the vehicle speed has been determined
to be below 1.2 mph, the step motors are set to their initial setting.

There also is a fail-safe function. But the description you doesn't fit. This is the warning lamp for the problem:

Should I disconnect the RED (+) terminal on the Battery to RESET the ECU?.....do you think a Reset will work?

My Warning Lamp indicator you pointed up above does not come on. that is the Leveling HeadLight indicator. ReSetting may help????

Its the Potentiometer that is mounted on the rear axle.
This controls the position of the self levelling headlights.

Mine has failed twice now under warranty in 3 years.

It will get worse, the headlights will go up and down more often, will stay too low and you will end up with the self levelling warning light flickering or staying on permanantly. Resetting the ECU will not help.

How much is that Potentiometer from the dealership?
