Replace HID on 2006 sc430
very easy.... Harder not to break clips
Might cut up hands it's tight in there!
Would definitely do it while engine is cold too
while you are in there replace the hideous drl (high beam) with 9k or 10k hid bulbs to make the ugly yellowish daytime running light look go away!!

In my experience, changing HID bulbs is not as easy as 9005 high beams especially you don't plan to remove the whole headlight by dropping the front bumper beforehand.
The room is so tight that you have to do it mostly by feel with one hand.
For 9005 highbeam/drl, you can just turn and pull the bulbs out and call it a day.
For D4S/D2S HID bulbs, there are more steps involved.
You need to remove back cover first and then turn the socket next.
Afeter that, you need to release the spring and finally get to pull the hid bulb out.
06+ is easier to change since the location of HID bulb sits higher than 02-05.
For 02-05, it is PIA and quite difficult doing all this by feel without scratching/damaging the HID bulb.
Dropping the front bumper is tedious, but is not as difficult as most think. imho.
below is a video to show you how to change HID bulb.
