Default Next SC looks just like the Next Supra!!! (Green pic)

Makes sense, right? I looked at the pics from that Japanese magazine (green car) and the new SC looks like the new Supra....just the old Supra and SC300/400 were cousins! That would be cool. We gotta have a hard top convertible still though.

toyota keeps saying they have no plans to bring back the supra. if they were to do a toyota/lexus twin, it might be based on the Toyota FT-HS. but my guess is that's too far to the performance side for lexus.

SC-F with ONLY 425 hp ???!!! They might as well forget it and not bother with a SC-F at all !!
There's not nearly enough to compete with the SL63 and the M6, both with 500+ hp ......

according to this article, it's still alive...I know that they keep going back and forth.

I DEFINITELY think that if this Supra is made, that the next SC will be it's sister/brother.

Is the lexus a girl? Or is the toyota? LOL

that's the car i posted. it's not a next generation supra. it's simply a sports car that would fill the void left when they discontinued the supra. the reason i don't think they'll go that direction with the sc is they have targeted an older and female demographic with the current model. something like that would probably be too far on the performance side. and not enough on the comfort/luxury.

Well with the LFA out, I think they could go toward the performance side of the spectrum and gain an all new customer base with the SC. Akio Toyoda seems to be serious about adding performance and excitement to the Toyota/Lexus lineup so I think that a new SL550 competitor SC is highly possible. Also the SC is a global model and I think globally their is more of a market for a performance roadster than a comfortable convertible.

And I agree with @Gojirra99. 425hp is not enough power for a SC-F. A supercharged V8 or a NA V10 would be perfect for a SC-F. 500+hp and plenty of torque.

With the financial collapse and all, this seems like this is the era of 'unleashing all the wild stuff that's been in drawers for years.'

As for the new supra origami look, maybe, but this could also be the time for the USA to reexamine the greatness that got us here...

that's still the same car i posted

it's not a next generation supra. it's intended to be a new line of sports car that would fill the void left when they discontinued the supra. it's a little confusing when the auto mags keep calling it the supra's successor. in a way, it would be. it would succeed the supra as their high performance sports car. it just wouldn't be branded as a supra.

Is it really? Perhaps toyota/lexus should hire them! Not bad!!! I'd like to see more.

Maybe they took a supra shot and photshopped it.

Autospies usually has good spy shots of stuff. I searched there but couldn't find anything

+1, great photoshop, love the shoes. With 500 hp this car could be a winner Guess you'd wait for the PB edition
