Totally up for used wheels. (Call me cheap, I'm proud of saving some cash). Thx for the advice.

Not too shabby. Got additional pics?
I'm in Los Angeles, CA by the way.

Not very good pics. The wheels are off the car now for the winter. I will take additional pics tonight.

i'm not so sure tires will be any cheaper for 19s. i remember reading they're actually more expensive. but i haven't priced out 19s, so i can't say for sure. personally, i went from runflats to 20s and the ride was greatly improved. 19s are probably a little smoother. but 20s aren't harsh at all.

Check out www.mc3wheels.com . They are a new 3pc wheel company and they've quoted me sick prices on some 3pc 20s. They do have a 5star split design.

I'll definitely consider it then.
I previously imagined that the ride on 20s would be similar to run-flats
and I HATED the rough ride quality of run-flats.

I really meant used tires. I would assume that finding thinner tires would be more difficult.
I just bought a set of 4 Continental tires with 70% tread for $20 a piece.
From then on, I would never buy new tires again.

you'll see used tires pop up on this forum and the G35 forum. 20s are actually pretty common for both cars.

Can anyone recommend 20" wheels for about $1000 (I know, I'm cheap.), new or used shops in LA?

Thx.

ebay all day long...may not have as much choices for that price...but look at "adr staggered" or "adr 20" wheels" in your search. I have posted some examples before on this thread and others. PM me if you need some help.

Search for g35, g37 and mustang 20" wheels and sort by price least to greatest you will find a lot of wheels. I think 300z has same bolt pattern too. Watch the offsets and make sure you are getting staggered.

I recommended some 20" adr wheels the other day in chrome for $600+ $200 shipping.

Why staggered?
From what I read it negatively affects road performance and I'm not crazy about the visual improvement.

you go wider in the rear for better traction off the line. just don't go too wide or else it'll sap the torque and slow you down. if you put wide tires in the front, they'll want to keep going straight when you're trying to turn. so you go more narrow for better steering.

stagger=swagger

Never forget my first staggered setup on my 1991 300ZX Twin Turbo. They were only 16's but I got some big ole fatties back there...lol I think the speedo was definitely jacked up because I went up to like 275 on a 16x8 or 16x8.5 (can't remember) rim!! lol

What are you asking for the rims and tires? More info please.
