Highbeam Help
The highbeams failed to work last night.Today I checked the fuses and they all seemed fine but the HB bulbs appeared to have fried and have bubbles in the bulb. I have changed the bulbs in the Ls 400, they could have made that easier,it looks like they left less room to work on the sc430.I would appreciate any shortcuts or insite on replacing the highbeams, they sure are stuffed in there.

I tried finding something about the SC 430 highbeam replacement in the lighting section but no luck, and I did that before posting. My repair manual states remove radiator grill, front fender liners, left and right, and then take off the front bumper. I have replaced alot of headlight bulbs but I have never had to remove the front bumper before, I love this car but some of the design forsight escapes me, the question is how much does the dealer charge for replacing the high beam bulbs.I imagine its over 200 bucks easy just for labor.Any shortcuts out there?
Chiltons covers more generic autos than the lexus,I doubt they have a manual for them.If you own an sc430 look under the hood and see how much access is there, none!I called the lexus service advisor and he said start with the inner fender wells for access, so I will give that a try. I'll give ya a heads up on what I find out.
