Default XPel Pre Installation Prep

I have an appointment Saturday to have the full X Pel kit installed. I was wondering what prep anyone recommends prior to bringing the car in.
I've had the car for about 10 days and so far have not applied any wax products. Question is should I have it waxed prior to install as I assume once the X Pel is on it won't be possible to shine up the surfaces that are covered. Will this cause any problems with the application, or is it even necessary since the car is new?
I don't want to get the X Pel put on, then wax other areas of the car only to see a contrast with the X Pel areas, any suggestions/ past experiences would be appreciated.

I had the Xpel installed before delivery and I do not notice any difference in shade (Silver car) from the top part of the hood that has Zaino vs what is underneth the Xpel.. Besides if you wax your hood prior to application they only strip it off with the Water/Alcohol solution that they spray on..

BTW how much did they charge you for the full Xpel treatment (Hood, mirrors, bumper & headlights/foglights).. I negotiated mine into my deal so i'm not sure what it ended up costing the dealer..

Hope that helps!

Thanks, kind of what I was thinking.

The quote is $750 for complete installation and materials.

I zainoed my car before hand, will get my xpel installed this weekend. cause no matter what, I figure my paint is protected by Z.

also, just did some calculation, I talked the installer into giving me a group discount, and with full install of bumper, hood, all lights, the labor cost adds up to ~100! I think that's pretty good. Anyone else interested in the S Cal/OC area, let me know, I'll pass the info on.
