i got lucky here a year ago and a forum member who had a new in box gen three luxlink spare he sold me as he did not have the car anymore. Not been made for many years. Steve at luxury motor cars in Monrovia made them up.

i took my 08 to his shop to have him install it.

there was another one for sale right afterwards. $750 is what it sold for.

good luck

in you signature and if memory serves me in your older posts here you mentioned how you disabled the various lochouf functions on the factory nav unit.

can you refresh my memory? I think our 08 and your 06 are the same nav?

my beatsonic has the parking brake input disconnected so I can watch dvds moving if that mames a difference?

thanks,

i would move quickly on the offered luxlink as availability is zero. Three models the last one works the quarter windows as well.

worth the drive to have Steve’s guys and him install his unit at luxury motor cars in Monrovia, ca to me

If the user JohnnyCake is willing to sell his spare unit, you should take advantage of his offer sooner rather than later. And yes, if you can visit Steve Larkin in Monrovia, just do it. He is Mr. Luxlink indeed ;)

Question I love my SC430

I have a SC430 Pebble Beach Edition year model 2004. I would really love to have a spare tire. Does ANyONE know where I can get one?

Not sure if I discovered a feature or my trunk shocks are going out. Last weekend I was loading up the trunk with stuff and I noticed every time I came back outside the trunk had closed and I thought maybe my kids closed it on me. I asked my kids if they closed it and they said no. After the 3rd time I stood there to see what was going on and after about 1 minute the trunk slowly closed and locked. I thought "Holy crap that was cool". So now my question is, is this a feature or do I need new trunk shocks?

Sounds like your trunk lifts are right on the borderline of going bad, and are allowing your trunk to slowly close after a minute. That would actually be a fairly cool feature, but I'm pretty sure it's just failing trunk struts, not an intentional feature. Luckily, aftermarket trunk struts are cheap (~$30 a set) and easy to install.

This thread will provide the answers to fix it yourself for $30.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc4...al-action.html

Or direct to eBay for the parts...if you don’t fix it, the parts will get worse and it will really hurt when it falls on your head.
