Default Radio Mode Button and hello

Hi Folks, Great forum! Newbie here…Hi to all. I have just purchased a 2005 Lexus Certified and the remote radio buttons on the steering wheel do not work at all. Might anyone have any ideas? I have read the manual and it states that I should be able to turn on and off the radio as well as switching between modes, but it does nothing.

Might there be an independent fuse for this function?

Thought there was something you might suggest before getting back to the dealer.

Thanks in advance for any help. Really love the car.

Paul

try this:

(a) Turn the ignition switch to ACC, then perform the step (b) and (c) within 30 seconds.
(b) Press and hold the MODE switch for more than 10 seconds.
(c) Press the channel up switch 3 times and the channel down switch 3 times within 5 seconds.
(d) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(e) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
(f) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(g) Check the proper operation of the steering pad switch modulator.

Thanks, however that try was a no-go. Still not working, I guess I'll just have to get it to the dealer to see what's up.

Ya if it is a 05 it should still be under warranty and be a free fix.
