Just a quick demographic
Ok thanks for all the quick replies guys. I'm 26 years old next month, and I've been a Lexus fan for a long time. I just moved to Florida and noticed that they're significantly cheaper here than they are where I'm from (Rhode Island) I was shown an Obsidian Black 03 for 27k the miles were low, but I waited on it, and then I stumbled across an 02 with just over 100k on the clock for 18K. I was just trying to see the age group of most of you 430 owners out there to see if it were feasible for a guy my age to own one. Thank you all very much.
35 years old, just bought an '02 with 35,000 miles for $20,250. Amazingly, the used car seller I bought it from paid the prior owner $16,500 (I saw this on the title). I guess the best place to pick up cheap cars is on the dealer side.
Yeah I actually took a look at the local newspaper and they're all over the place in there. Originally I was looking into getting an SC400 because I thought the SC430 would be untouchable for someone my age, but I looked into insurance and because I have no accidents or tickets insurance would be really cheap for me. I've always loved the 430, and I'm a huge fan of SuperGT so the TOM's Open Interface SC430 and TOM's Petronas SC430 are my favorite cars. So I'm determined to pick up an 430 of my own.
52 and just bought 02 with 33,500 miles for $20,000, has minor manhattan garage dings but front and rear stealth k40 radar that no one knew about, and nice window tinting. Love the car, including the new run flats on it and the pie hubcaps, which I think actually work with the design!
39 yrs old, 2005 Amethyst Pearl with Ecru bought in Feb 2008 with 24k on the clock - CPO at $38k. Minor issues all fixed on Lexus' dime but love the way the car looks and drives. Like my color combo too.
Hard to believe, 58. Bought my '04 in Phoenix for $30K (a pretty good deal) with 47K miles.
Third owner of a black over black (pretty rare).
Found that one of the wheels was bent. After buying a used/fixed wheel and finding a tire shop that does 'road force balance' (not all tires shop can do this -- special equip. needed) and putting nitrogen in the tires, the OEM run-flats ride well. Although, I'm in the process of buying new wheels and tires (michelin pilot sport a/s (zp). I'm digging this car.
