I must admit, though I do not have it, it might be the only convertible that wins both, up and down! I just wish he had better gas mileage and felt a little sportier

Wow a nine year old thread revived. Any convertible I've owned or own. I only drive when I can drop the top. So I guess I have too say better with the top down. For me I figure if I have to drive with the top up, I might as well drive one of my other cars.

I agree to both, up or down. Same car, same handling, & you can put the top up or down anywhere along the way.

Obviously 'both' is a default answer on this thread, to me down looks more classy with rich leather/wood interior...and a blonde

Down in the morning sun with light breeze and up in the heat with a/c and nice musics.

To me whether the top is up or down, the rich leather/wood interior is still there. If my wife would approve a blonde as well.

A winter morning, frost on the ground, steam rising from the sun-kissed earth, an icy nip in the air. The roof majestically opens to reveal rare craftsmanship of leather, wood, and metal caressed by smooth deep musical notes emanating from the Mark Levinson orchestra. The seats warm slowly as a low burble of engine notes rise up to complete the symphony of sight, sound, and smell.

There are no thoughts of absent blonde friends as I sit deep inside my SC430 heading towards a climax of speed, rubber, and road...................................................

I think that is a vote for roof down ))
