Steering wheel button module
Has anyone removed the button module that's on the side of the steering wheel (volume, channel, etc. buttons)?
If so, how does it come off?
I would like to get access to this is try to tap into the controls for my CarPC but, I don't want to break it trying to get it off. I've tried a little prying and it seems to move but, it won't pop off. I don't want to pry, pop it off, and then discover that it was screwed in from the inside and I've now screwed it up totally!!
I have a CD-Rom of the service manual but, can't find any procedure/maintenance for this particular part.
Anyone?

Taking from Chapter 82-2 (cruise control)
There seems to be 3 claws that you can undo with a screwdriver. This will pop off the cover.
PM me if you don't know which section of the manual I'm referring to.

Hi - you've probably long since figured out how to pop the cover off (then it unscrews) but at anyrate - very important to note that my experience was that the car's horn was disabled with this module disconnected. It's likely that someone will remove the module for some solder work, etc, go for a drive and maybe find themselves in a dangerous situation.
I found that connecting anything disabled the buttons, so I just drilled one in and stuck the guts of a Griffin AirMate inside soldered to it. Your electronics skills are far beyond mine, so you might figure out something else ...
hope it turned out great,
