Since the lense is removable, perhaps you can find a clear one and do a custom cut.
After that, you can just paint the inside of the lamp base to silver and find a Piaa bulb.

The third pic shows a secondary strip of LEDs that illuminate amber in color when the turn signal is activated.

For those who are very much interested in the clear sidemarkers.
I found a Lexus part vendor who is currently starting a group-buy on clear sidemarkers in Japan for Lexus model IS250/IS350/GS350/GS430/GS450h/SC430 at probably less than $60/pair.

These are not LEDs, but you can easily find a LED bulb that illuminates red,amber or white in color here in the US.

You guys should ask Steve @ Carson Toyota to contact that vendor.

[IMG][/IMG]No need for translation. I had e-mailed the guy sometime back wondering if I can swap my side markers with those. In Japan, 2006+ models cames with those side markers instead of rectangular shape. Not the bumper side markers but rather for the front fenders.

By the way, I just realized that my bumper light doesn't lit. Normal? Or am I just being

Nope. Not with the turn signals neither... I haven't seen another SC430 on the road (at night that is) since I noticed the lamp not being lit so I can't really tell... and I don't think it's only my car, I think it may applies to all Soarers and SC430's in Japan. Check out the pic I found on the web.

umm interesting, do you see a bulb inside? if so, then it must come on somehow right? or it's just a pure reflectors?

I believe they are just pure reflecters (front and rear) in Japan.
In fact, I see some sellers are selling the US sidemarker convertion kit in Japan, so that you can actually install bulbs in them.

Some US owners like JDM while some Japan owner like US version. haha
BTW, I don't think my car's foglight can be on without the headlight is on first like urs.

 

My ones dont light up, was playing around with them yesterday.. guess mine are just reflectors.

I sprayed them black (front & back) and I was quite happy with that look, as I have a black SC I think it looks better with black.

 

I guess that is why they have side marker and US spec. don't have side marker. In this case, I guess I like the US spec. more. kind of weird that both the front and rear are just reflectors.
