Default December Lexus Sales?

I see that December is some sort of big sale event for Lexus. I was really hoping to get my sc430 in May or so for spring driving, but is there price reason to buy sooner?

Default New Years' Eve Purchase

Buy your car on New Years' Eve! That's what I did last year. I wasn't really going to buy a car the night I walked in, but they happened to have a new black and saddle SC I was interested in, and guy said, "Make us an offer!" I told him if they would sell me the car for invoice, I would buy it. Before it was over I also asked for a couple of extras which they threw in the deal.
After doing the deal, it was about 8 PM, I asked the guy why they were so "easy"? He said that they were trying to make their month end AND their year end quotas, and he said it's always the best time to buy a car.
I've never been a car salesman, but it was the easiest purchase I've ever made. They showed me the invoice, and that's what I paid plus tax. I know they get rebates, kickbacks, etc, but it was great to get the 2006 SC I wanrted for $56k!

Indeed. I bet you bought the cheapest new SC BY FAR. I paid $59K for my '04, and very few folks bought cheaper than me, and only for a couple of hundred bucks. Plus MSRP has gone up.

the december to remember sales event has nothing to do with price, but lexus financial services has preferred lease rates and apr available until january 2. thats the way it is every year, this year no different.
