It looks just like the smoker's box, only the top opening is a little larger. The only big difference is that the inside is lined with a fuzzy surface instead of the metal. Visually it's very hard to tell the difference between the two.

It comes with a sticker for your door that reads No Smoking

It doesnt have the thing to extinguish your cig butt

Just a nice felt box ( Can I say that )

It is great it holds my Treo 700 perfect ( cell phone )

I also have the trash box also ( ecru )

Oh, yes, I forgot about the little sticker that says "No Smoking."

I had 3 reactions to that:

1. Who smokes in a car anyway?

2. It's too small to read.

3. The print is the same color as the maple wood.

4. Who wants a No Smoking sign in the car?

5. That was 4, not 3.

I think you are right, and when I get some free time I'll try to take a picture of the black hole in my ashtray.

The point of many of the above posts is that it looks pretty much the same, it's just a little larger and has a fuzzy inside.

Someone that concerned about the look of the ashtray should probably stay away from modifications altogether.

I bought it sight unseen because I knew it would accommodate a larger cell phone than the original, as noted above. For crying out loud, how much does it cost?

Read where some have done a modification to the ashtray to either put their cell phone there or control for satellite radio. How do you do the modifications? Mine looks like a solid piece of black plastic and the lighter.

I just got it last week from Carson Toyota (board sponsor) for $32 shipped. As stated from fellow CL members, the opening's bigger (vertically) & has a soft & fuzzy carpet lining. Let me know if you need me to post pics of both side-by-side. I got it b/c the opening's bigger & doesn't scratch my cell phone..."That's hot!"

Dan,
Can you post the part number for it (if you still have it)? I called my dealer's parts department and they had no idea what I was talking about--only one ash tray showed up in their computer.

It's a jdm.
You won't find it at any Lexus dealer.

Order it here. http://www.l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=27

Does anyone know where this can still be purchased? The link no longer worked. The previous owner of my car melted the plastic in my car ashtray somehow and I would love to find one of these.

I saw some on ebay and PartMyRide. You might also check Lexus South Atlanta and MyLParts.
